What is a I-192 U.S. Entry Waiver?

A U.S Entry Waiver (also known as a “Waiver” or ”I-192”) is a legal document issued by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security which awards advance permission to the applicant to enter the United States for a period of time. Most Canadians with a criminal record require a Waiver before crossing the border. Once a traveler has a valid U.S. Waiver, they are legally allowed to enter the United States an unlimited number of times via air or land throughout the term of the Waiver, regardless of their criminal record. But do you need a U.S. Waiver and do you Qualify for a Waiver?
